I followed the smashed glass effect on to the contents page so the cover and contents link. I am thinking to shape images into shards in one column and contents on the other. After I drew the contents page, I felt that the picture shards will dominate the page therefore I am also thinking whether to put shards in the top right and bottom left so the shards are in both columns.
