Research and Planning: Experimenting font styles for Masthead

For a reader, the masthead is one of the first noticeable features on a magazine therefore the font style and size of the masthead is very important in making a cover look good. The masthead "HYDE NEWS" is a title used only for this research and does not represent the masthead I will use for the college magazine.

ARIAL BLACK: This font style is clear and bold which allows for easy reading.

CENTURY: This style is is a posh, old style font which will be used for more serious based news.

THRILLER: I would use this font style to add a horror factor to the magazine as it has a scary look to it.

RAVIE: This font style has a playful, unique look which would go well with a magazine of a younger audience.

ELEPHANT: The font style above adds a posh look to a bold, easy readable font style.
