Listing cover lines as well as page numbers needs to be organised as my audience don't care about extravagance and multi-colours, they prefer to simply read the contents and find the correct page. The busyness may be found in other genres such as pop.
I noticed a contents page from a metal genre music magazine and the image above is a screenshot of the list layout. I like the dominating headings with the black rectangle contrasting against the text. The text in the headings are bold, large and has no fancy font style which variates from the story text.
I also like how the page number has a different font colour compared to the font colour of the stories listed to the right which allows the page numbers to stand out as the numbers need to be easily seen to help the reader find the page to the corresponding story they want to read about.
